Mod name: PDA map with point names - Army warehouses v1.1 Author: Lux aka LuxZg Version: 1.1 Date: 25.10.2008. STALKER CS: 1.5.0.5 Description/Changelog: --v1.1-- This mod adds names of points to the Army warehouses map in your PDA, as they are shown when you get quests. Points included in this map are all those that are valid smart_terrain points for use in current game (1.5.05) If you ask - there was no v1.0, I have made this one 1.1 directly because it is made in the same way and with same improvements as my other maps which are also v1.1. It has properly compressed texture, and contains mipmaps as well, so it's almost the same thing as original texture. Also, this is the only original map (out of 9 maps that I've made!) that I had to fix completely before starting to add terrain names and markings. It had a huge mismatch with real position of your character, both in PDA and minimap, that you were 15 meters away running through buildings (if you believed map/minimap). Now it's fixed, and map I'm using is the same map that was separately released as "PDA_map_fix-0.8.zip". Because the difference was so big, I also had to do a bit of "masking" on global PDA map (ui_global_map.dds texture), which probably looks terrible if you look at the texture, but in PDA it looks pretty good IMHO. Work on global map was based on a quick-fix that I've also released earlier (as "ui_global_map-by_lux_v0.85.zip"), but it got tweaked a bit more, so the latest v0.87 (never released in public) is included with this file. And one more thing - this is last map - I'm finished! :D So no more work in progress!! I will still make this map and related global map available separately, in case someone wants or needs such a file (for example, if someone had already downloaded all previos maps). Issues: Original map has a weird misplacement like I've already explained. I have fixed it as much as I could, but I have run into the same problem that Limansk level map has - in minimap all is fine, but on PDA map "actor" icon is not centered to the same place. It is a bit larger displacement compared to Limansk, but still nothing critical. You will seem to be around 2 in-game meters to the south from the correct position, but you'll notice it only at full-zoom. Future of this mod: This is probably final Military Warehouses map and will not be changed anymore, unless game devs make more smart_terrains in future patches. Or someone finds a way to correct PDA map view, and not destroy minimap view at the same time.. Next thing I have to do is simple - pack all my maps and post the map-pack which a lot of people requested.
